Travel Friendly First Aid Kit

One of the cornerstones of safety while traveling is a first aid kit. You never know what minor injuries may arise while on your trip! This great travel-friendly first aid kit is TSA approved for carry-on luggage and comes with everything to keep you prepared for life’s little accidents including band-aids, burn cream, and even a mini sewing kit.

Stomach Soothing Medicine

One of my favorite parts of traveling is indulging in the local cuisine but an excess of strong flavors your stomach may not be used to can lead to indigestion and nausea. An essential for staying healthy on vacation is stomach soothing medicine. You can also throw in some diarrhea medication into the mix to be extra prepared. It’s truly terrible when a vacation is spoiled by sickness!

Multivitamin

In the same vein of staying healthy while traveling, packing some good multivitamins will ensure you’re getting your basic nutrients. Traveling in general can be a bit draining on the body. It’s important to keep your immune system strong and your body feeling great to enjoy your adventures.

Reusable Water Bottle

It’s so important to stay hydrated! Whether you’re traveling to a hot climate or just plan on doing a lot of physical activity, it’s a great idea to have a reusable water bottle. Whether I’m walking 20,000 steps a day exploring an exciting city or laying out on a sunny beach, it’s so convenient to always have my water handy rather than constantly buying water bottles at the store.

Shoe Insoles

Exploring a new and exciting place can often come with a lot of walking. Prevent sore, aching feet by investing in some comfy shoe insoles to trek with ease!

Mosquito Repellent

Aside from them being a buzzing itchy nuisance, mosquitoes can also harbor some serious diseases. It’s wise to pack some good bug repellent especially if you’re traveling internationally (with a greater risk of foreign disease). This is also a good time to remind oneself that you should always check if there are any specific vaccination recommendations for a country you’re visiting.

Face Masks

A good protective face mask is always handy and not just for preventing the spread of disease. Some countries may have occasional bad air quality that you should protect your lungs from. You never know if face masks will be easily available near you, so it’s great to just have them on hand.

Disinfectant Wipes

You can also lower your risk of catching getting sick by minimizing the germs in your lodgings. When I arrive at my accommodation, it doesn’t matter how spotless the place looks… I’m wiping down the surfaces with some great disinfectant wipes like these! Maybe I’m paranoid but you just can’t be sure how thorough the cleaning crew was before you arrived.

Sunscreen

Skin protection is so important and not just for trips to the beach. Pack a great sunscreen like this that has the added bonus of being waterproof and eco-friendly.

Journal

I think regular journaling can be amazing for our mental health. In the sensory overload of exploring a new destination, trying new things, and sometimes getting lost, writing down your thoughts is great for staying grounded. If you don’t already have a notebook, a gorgeous leather bound journal like this may be wonderful for staying centered and recording your wonderful travel memories.
